Certified Hospital Billing Coder

Job Summary

To ensure accurate coding of medical records, the full-time Certified Hospital Billing Coder will work remotely to code inpatient and outpatient records, review documentation for compliance, and mentor junior coders.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately code a variety of patient records, including inpatient, outpatient, and surgical procedures
• Review documentation for accuracy and adherence to coding guidelines
• Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation and address coding-related claim denials

Required qualifications

• High School Equivalency Diploma
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a certified coder with complex coding assignments
