Certified Inpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance coding expertise in a flexible work environment, the remote Certified Inpatient Coding Specialist will utilize their coding skills and experience to ensure accurate coding and compliance while meeting productivity targets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inpatient coding using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes
• Maintain a coding quality of 95% or greater while meeting client productivity targets
• Utilize remote-based connectivity tools and office software for effective communication and data management

Required qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC, CIC, COC)
• A minimum of two years' recent inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting
• Knowledge of MS DRG Coding Classification Systems
• Technical competency with remote connectivity tools
• Proficiency with office software, including Outlook and Excel
