Job Summary
To support a growing telemedicine practice, the remote Patient Care Coordinator will manage patient care team communications, coordinate scheduling and benefits, and assist with medical records and prescription fulfillment.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between patients and their care team, ensuring effective communication and engagement
- Facilitate the collection and management of medical records and assist with prescription-related tasks, including prior authorizations
- Guide new patients through their weight loss journey and address inquiries regarding the program, billing, and insurance coverage
Required qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification required
- At least two years of experience in a fast-paced primary care, obesity medicine, or endocrinology practice
- Familiarity with prescription prior authorization processes is a plus
- Proficient in computer skills, including platforms like Slack and Google Workspace
- Highly organized with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
