Certified Medical Assistant
Job Summary
To support a growing telemedicine practice, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant will communicate with members via chat, email, and phone, assist medical providers in delivering patient care, and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional customer service and support to members through various communication channels
- Relaying member needs to healthcare providers and coordinating with pharmacies for prescription issues
- Facilitating drug screens and educating members on navigating drug screening options
Required qualifications:
- National Medical Assistant Certification required
- One or more years of healthcare experience preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment and/or behavioral health care is a plus
- Strong analytical ability and a passion for providing excellent customer service
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines
