Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To support primary healthcare delivery, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant will assist with patient care management, clerical duties, and call center support in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls for all providers, routing messages and updating patient demographics
• Monitor patient messages, triage calls, and notify patients of lab results and medication refills
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and support multiple providers to maintain schedule efficiency

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of Certified Medical Assistant program preferred
• Experience as a Patient Care Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant is considered
• Knowledge of medical practices, examination procedures, and medical equipment
• CPR Certification is required
• Must reside within one hour of the Silver Cross Hospital main campus
