Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To support patient healthcare needs, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant will manage prescription refill requests, verify their accuracy, and provide exceptional customer service in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and respond to prescription refill requests through various communication channels
• Verify the validity and accuracy of prescription refill requests to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Prepare and dispense prescription refills accurately while providing administrative support to clinical staff

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of three years' experience in a retail pharmacy
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare Part D, including pharmacy record review and billing rules
• Current, unrestricted certification as a Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician
• Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and CMS security requirements
• Bilingual candidates are preferred
