Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time Certified Medical Assistant will manage patient outreach, assist with virtual care activities, and coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct outbound patient calls related to laboratory results and follow-up needs
• Manage call volume, including patient callbacks and follow-up coordination
• Support patients with care coordination, including laboratory follow-ups and appointment scheduling

Required qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant certification
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care
• Experience with electronic medical records systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical/legal issues and patient rights, including HIPAA compliance
• At least 1 year of experience in telehealth is preferred but not required
