Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare initiative, the remote Certified Medical Assistant - Bilingual will assist patients in enrolling in healthcare programs, evaluate eligibility, and provide ongoing support while working in a full-time 1099 capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Guide patients through the enrollment process for healthcare programs, ensuring accurate documentation
- Conduct comprehensive consultations to gather necessary patient information and explain program benefits
- Monitor enrollment applications and collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate the enrollment process
Required qualifications
- Active certification as a Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion in patient interactions
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and technology proficiency
