Certified Medical Bill Reviewer

Job Summary

Working fully remotely, the full-time Certified Medical Bill Reviewer will process and audit medical bills according to workers' compensation fee schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance while meeting daily production quotas.

Key responsibilities:

• Code medical bills accurately and efficiently while adhering to company production standards
• Screen services for appropriateness and medical necessity, utilizing CPT and ICD9/ICD10 codes
• Communicate with clients and providers to clarify billing information and resolve discrepancies

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, with at least one year of data entry/medical billing experience and two years of bill review experience in a workers' compensation environment
• Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD9/ICD10 coding and workers' compensation fee schedules
• Medical Bill Reviewer Designation with ongoing continuing education requirements
• Proficiency in using word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret data accurately
