Certified Medical Coder

Job Summary

To support accurate charge capture in obstetric and GYN services, the full-time Certified Medical Coder will review clinician-entered charge suggestions, resolve coding edits, and validate charge accuracy in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assigns and sequences diagnoses and procedures according to ICD-10 CM Official Coding Guidelines
• Analyzes and resolves charge entry coding errors while managing coding queues
• Reports and analyzes errors, trends, and findings, composing reports using Microsoft Excel and Word

Required Qualifications:

• Certified AAPC Coder
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office suite, with moderate skills in Excel
• Ability to work with highly confidential materials
• Strong working knowledge of HIPAA as it relates to revenue cycle management processes
