Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder II, the full-time remote position will analyze and translate medical diagnoses and procedures into numerical codes, ensuring compliance with established guidelines while working during office hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Mountain Time.
Key responsibilities
- Review and code medical records for multiple specialties, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance
- Participate in meetings with healthcare providers to address coding issues and provide training support
- Utilize coding resources to resolve discrepancies and maintain productivity expectations
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of related experience in medical coding or billing
- AHIMA or AAPC certification required
- Proven experience working effectively from home
- Ability to work during specified office hours regardless of time zone
