Certified Medical Coding Auditor
Job Summary
To support a diverse range of healthcare clients, the full-time Certified Medical Coding Auditor will conduct audits, provide compliance education, and develop corrective action recommendations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct detailed medical record reviews and coding audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Prepare and present audit findings and compliance recommendations to clients and stakeholders
- Develop and deliver education and training sessions for providers and internal team members on documentation and coding practices
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare auditing, compliance, or related fields
- Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) and Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certifications are required
- Experience with healthcare regulatory guidelines and conducting detailed medical record reviews
- Advanced knowledge of coding, documentation, and compliance auditing methodologies
