Certified Medical Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To support integrated patient care, the full-time Certified Medical Coding Specialist will work remotely to review medical documentation, apply appropriate coding, and manage claim denials while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation to assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes accurately
• Monitor denial reports to identify trends and submit appeals to payers
• Perform audits and query providers for clarification on documentation

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years coding experience
• Certification as CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
