Job Summary
To manage a high-volume caseload across multiple ophthalmology subspecialties, the full-time Certified Ophthalmic Technician will evaluate medication barriers, coordinate payer requirements, and ensure documentation resolution while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and validate medication requests from various sources, ensuring accuracy and urgency
- Differentiate and address various medication access barriers, including prior authorizations and formulary issues
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical partners
Required qualifications
- Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training and certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician by JCAHPO
- BLS Certification
- Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, eye diseases, and treatment protocols
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment
