Certified Outpatient Auditor

Job Summary

To enhance coding quality and technology performance, the fully remote Certified Outpatient Auditor will perform quality assurance reviews of facility-based outpatient records, evaluate AI-generated coding results against human-coded results, and communicate findings while maintaining a high audit accuracy rate.

Key responsibilities

• Complete quality assurance reviews for clients and evaluate the accuracy of AI-generated coding assignments
• Analyze coding variances and collaborate with stakeholders to recommend improvements to coding logic and workflows
• Maintain clear audit documentation and communicate quality issues to management as appropriate

Required qualifications

• Possession of an approved AHIMA or AAPC coding credential
• Minimum 5 years of coding experience with a focus on outpatient charts
• At least 2 years of auditing experience, preferably with technology-assisted coding results
• Demonstrated ability to analyze coding variances and communicate findings effectively
• Proficiency with electronic health records and coding platforms preferred
