Certified Outpatient Coder - AZ

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare organization, the full-time Certified Outpatient Coder - AZ will accurately code data according to ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines while working remotely from specified states.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately code outpatient data following official coding guidelines and CMS directives
• Perform data entry of abstracted patient information into the electronic medical record system
• Query physicians as necessary to ensure accurate coding and compliance

Required qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Proof of highest level of education completed, at least high school or equivalent
• 3 years of Profee coding experience
• An AAPC or AHIMA certification (CAH-BS, CCS, CPC, or CIC)
• At least 2 years of active coding experience in Facility Outpatient Coding and Compliant Query practices
