Certified Outpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

To ensure high-quality coding practices, the full-time Certified Outpatient Coding Auditor will conduct quality assurance reviews, provide training for new coders, and maintain coding accuracy in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete quality assurance reviews for outpatient coding specialists and newly hired consultants
• Report quality issues and assist in implementing quality improvement action plans
• Provide educational sessions on error trends and maintain coding accuracy rates

Required qualifications

• Possession of an approved AHIMA or AAPC coding credential
• Minimum of 4 years of coding experience, with preference for full chart auditing experience
• Experience in both Outpatient Facility and Professional Fee coding and auditing
• At least 2 years of remote work experience
• Strong ability to work autonomously while meeting productivity and quality expectations
