Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for multiple specialties while working remotely and maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity.

Key responsibilities:

• Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS
• Calculate ProFee and/or Facility E/M levels using company-provided algorithms
• Communicate professionally with clients to foster strong working relationships and support business interests

Required qualifications:

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of coding experience is required
• Advanced knowledge of EMR and billing systems is essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is necessary
• Current coding materials such as CPT and ICD-10-CM references must be maintained
