Certified Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

To support patient inquiries and billing accuracy, the full-time Certified Patient Account Representative will manage insurance claims, resolve credit balances, and serve as a subject matter expert on payer guidelines while working remotely from 8 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern.

Key responsibilities

• Verifies and updates patient insurance coverage, rebills claims, and reviews patient accounts for accuracy
• Researches and resolves patient inquiries while deescalating complaints to enhance the billing experience
• Liaises with patients and payers to resolve insurance billing issues and obtain required documentation

Required qualifications

• Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) certification required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of medical billing and/or coding experience
• Knowledge of revenue cycle functions and billing regulations
• Proficiency in computer systems and software necessary for job duties
