Certified Patient Accounts Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure accurate reimbursement, the full-time Certified Patient Accounts Specialist will manage billing and collection processes, resolve payment variances, and maintain compliance with payer contracts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve inaccurate payments with insurance carriers and ensure compliance with payer contracts
• Analyze underpayments and overpayments to identify root causes and ensure contractual compliance
• Communicate with payers to follow up on claims and develop positive relationships for effective resolution

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• One year of experience as a Patient Accounts Specialist I or two years in a related field
• HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification within six months of hire
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Completion of Orlando Health team member development within six months of hire date
