Certified Payroll Director

Job Summary

Providing strategic and operational leadership for enterprise payroll operations, the full-time remote Certified Payroll Director will ensure accurate, compliant payroll delivery across a large, complex workforce while overseeing payroll governance, regulatory compliance, and transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Leads end-to-end payroll operations for a multi-state employee population, ensuring timely and compliant payroll delivery
• Develops and executes the enterprise payroll strategy, governance framework, and capability roadmap
• Manages strategic payroll vendor relationships, ensuring service quality and compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a management role
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification
• Experience with global payroll and large-scale operating model transformation
• Strong experience with Workday or a comparable enterprise payroll/HRIS platform
