Certified Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

Supporting pharmacy benefit operations, the full-time Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician will process prior authorization requests, resolve escalated inquiries, and provide training and coaching to pharmacy technicians in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review, research, and process pharmacy prior authorization requests in compliance with established criteria and policies
• Resolve member, provider, and pharmacy inquiries while providing accurate information and follow-up
• Support new-hire training and development of pharmacy technician team members as a subject matter resource

Required qualifications

• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician credential (PTCB/CPhT, ExCPT, or equivalent) required
• Two or more years of relevant pharmacy technician experience, preferably in managed care or related healthcare environments
• Experience with pharmacy prior authorizations and prescription claims
• Preferred experience in training, coaching, or mentoring pharmacy technicians or healthcare operations staff
• Strong research, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a fast-paced remote environment
