Certified Pharmacy Technician - WY
Job Summary
To support the VA Meds by Mail program, the contract Certified Pharmacy Technician - WY will process prescriptions, handle call center inquiries, and complete pharmacy clerical work remotely for Veterans' families and CHAMPVA beneficiaries.
Key responsibilities
- Enter prescription data accurately in VA pharmacy information systems
- Review and process external prescriptions according to standard operating procedures
- Answer and triage call center inquiries from patients, caregivers, and provider offices
Required qualifications
- Current, unrestricted pharmacy technician certification from PTCB (CPhT) or NHA (ExCPT)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently
- Computer proficiency for data entry and navigating pharmacy systems
- Must reside within 50 miles of the VA Meds by Mail facility in Cheyenne, Wyoming
