Certified Profee Coder

Job Summary

Seeking a Certified Profee Coder, the full-time remote position will apply coding classification standards to medical records, resolve documentation deficiencies, and ensure quality assessment of records while maintaining a high accuracy rate.

Key responsibilities:

• Apply appropriate coding classification standards and guidelines to medical record documentation
• Resolve medical record documentation deficiencies through provider queries and feedback
• Abstract and assign appropriate ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT codes for outpatient and inpatient procedures

Required qualifications:

• Three years of experience in Facility/Pro-Fee coding
• AHIMA/AAPC Coder Certification (CIC, COC, CPC-Payer, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, etc.)
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ICD-10-PCS coding systems
• Membership with AHIMA or AAPC
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to maintain a 95% QA accuracy rate
