Certified Profee Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Certified Profee Coding Specialist will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across various specialties, ensuring accurate code assignment and compliance with ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide coding services for Professional Fee and Facility Chart types, including calculating E/M levels and recognizing critical care cases
• Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS, while interpreting coding guidelines
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, privacy regulations, and ongoing training requirements while achieving productivity and quality standards

Required qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• At least 6 months of on-the-job coding experience is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to perform basic functions and manage communications effectively
• Knowledge and experience with EMR and billing systems are necessary
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
