Certified Profee Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Certified Profee Coding Specialist will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for various specialties, ensuring accurate code assignment and compliance with coding guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive coding services for a minimum of 1-4 specialties, including Primary Care, Ortho, Neurology, and Trauma
• Calculate ProFee E/M levels and apply diagnosis and procedure codes with high specificity
• Maintain compliance with ethical coding standards and participate in ongoing training and education

Required qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• At least 6 months of on-the-job coding experience is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to perform basic functions
• Experience with EMR and billing systems is necessary
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
