Certified ProFee Medical Coder

Job Summary

To support a growing coding team, the full-time Certified ProFee Medical Coder will work remotely to provide accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across various specialties, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately code ProFee inpatient charts for hospitalists and multiple specialties while recognizing critical care cases
• Calculate E/M levels using company algorithms and apply diagnosis and procedure codes with precision
• Participate in ongoing training and adhere to ethical coding standards and company policies

Required qualifications

• Certification through AAPC or AHIMA is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job coding experience is required
• Proficiency in EMR and billing systems, along with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
• Access to reliable internet, a phone, and current coding materials such as CPT and ICD-10-CM references
