Certified Professional Billing Coder

Job Summary

To support accurate billing and compliance, the full-time hourly Certified Professional Billing Coder will independently review medical documentation, assign diagnostic and procedural codes, and assist in training entry-level coders while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret complex clinical documentation to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for outpatient services
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with official guidelines and payer-specific requirements
• Resolve coding-related denials and collaborate with providers for clarification on discrepancies

Required qualifications

• High School Equivalency Diploma
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P) required
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a certified coder
