Certified Professional Billing Coder

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Certified Professional Billing Coder will independently review medical documentation and assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes for outpatient and professional services while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret complex clinical documentation to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with official guidelines, payer rules, and regulatory requirements
• Resolve coding-related denials, edits, and rejections to support clean claim submission

Required qualifications

• High School Equivalency Diploma
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P) required
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a certified coder
