Job Summary
To support accurate billing and compliance, the full-time hourly Certified Professional Coder II will independently review medical documentation, assign diagnostic and procedural codes, and assist in training entry-level coders while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and interpret complex clinical documentation to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for outpatient services
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with official guidelines and payer rules
- Resolve coding-related denials and collaborate with providers for clarification as needed
Required qualifications
- High School Equivalency Diploma
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P) required
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a certified coder
