Certified Professional Coder Manager

Job Summary

Leading the day-to-day billing and coding operations, the remote Manager, Revenue Cycle Operations will oversee Billing and Coding Supervisors, ensure compliance and quality, and resolve complex operational issues while fostering team development and performance improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily billing and coding operations across multiple markets, ensuring quality and compliance
• Lead and develop Billing and Coding Supervisors, establishing performance expectations and growth opportunities
• Monitor Revenue Cycle KPIs and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive Revenue Cycle experience with substantial coding and billing operations expertise
• 3+ years of direct people leadership experience, managing supervisors or frontline leaders
• Certified Professional Coder (AAPC or AHIMA) required; CPPM, CPCO, or CHFP preferred
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and coding compliance principles
• Experience with Athenahealth or comparable EHR/practice management platform preferred
