Certified Revenue Auditor
Job Summary
To support accurate billing practices, the remote Certified Revenue Auditor will conduct audits of medical records, perform root cause analyses, and assist with coding guidance and documentation improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Audit medical records to identify missed charges and coding inconsistencies
- Prepare reports and executive summaries of audit findings for educational purposes
- Provide coding support and conduct ad-hoc audits to resolve billing issues
Required qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of coding experience
- Must have and maintain an approved coding credential through AAPC or AHIMA
- Must obtain at least one additional certification (CANPC or CPMA) within 1 year of employment
- Extensive knowledge of medical billing software and electronic medical records
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Excel functionalities like VLOOKUP and pivot tables
