Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Summary

To support the timely collection of payments, the full-time Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist will perform electronic customer service duties, including billing, third-party follow-up, and collections, in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Submit compliant bills to third-party payors and calculate reimbursement for managed care claims
• Proactively collect payments by contacting insurance carriers and analyzing accounts for resolution
• Prepare appeals for denied claims and collaborate with various departments to resolve billing issues

Required qualifications

• Two years of recent experience in billing or collecting healthcare accounts, or four years of general collection/billing/customer service experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) certification required within 18 months of hire
