Job Summary

A company is looking for a Thermal-Hydraulics Engineer (CFD) to conduct high-fidelity thermal-fluid analyses as part of their Reactor Analysis team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and conducting high-fidelity analyses using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to analyze thermal-hydraulic behavior through various systems
  • Proactively designing, modeling, and analyzing thermal-hydraulic systems
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to define design requirements and provide technical feedback to quick-iterating design teams
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on thermal hydraulics
  • Core competencies in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics first principles
  • Experience specializing in CFD analysis codes, such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, Nek-5000, or similar
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience with thermal-hydraulic engineering principles and multi-physics analysis methods for engineering applications, particularly as they relate to power systems
