Chaldean Interpreter

Job Summary

To support a diverse range of clients, the part-time Chaldean Interpreter will handle phone interpretation sessions between Chaldean and English speakers, ensuring accurate and culturally sensitive communication in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to interpreting sessions and conduct interpretations professionally
• Render correct concepts and meanings while adhering to established interpretation protocols
• Maintain a professional demeanor and cultural sensitivity during potentially emotional or stressful calls

Required qualifications

• Fluency in Chaldean and English, with an understanding of cultural dynamics
• Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching, translation, or interpretation preferred
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills for accurate interpretation
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• High school diploma or equivalent required
