Charge Description Master Specialist
Job Summary
As a key member of the PSJH System Revenue Integrity Chargemaster team, the full-time Charge Description Master Specialist will ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, manage CDM maintenance requests, and provide training to hospital staff while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the Chargemaster to ensure it accurately reflects services provided and complies with all regulations
- Act as a liaison between the hospital ministry and the Revenue Integrity department, addressing inquiries and issues related to the Chargemaster
- Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflows and document all policies and procedures related to charge processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
- 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including familiarity with CDM Maintenance software and billing requirements
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD10 coding principles
- 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices
- 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
