Charge Description Master Specialist

Job Summary

To support the PSJH System Revenue Integrity team, the full-time Charge Description Master Specialist will ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, manage Chargemaster maintenance requests, and provide training to hospital staff, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure Chargemaster accuracy and compliance with coding and billing regulations
• Act as a liaison between the hospital and the Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster department to address inquiries and resolve issues
• Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflow and document all policies and procedures related to CDM Maintenance

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
• 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of coding principles and billing requirements
• 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices
• 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
• Driving may be necessary; proof of driver license and auto insurance required upon request
