Charge Description Master Specialist
Job Summary
To support the PSJH System Revenue Integrity Chargemaster team, the full-time Charge Description Master Specialist will ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, manage CDM maintenance requests, and provide training to hospital staff, all while working remotely during the day.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the Chargemaster is consistent with coding and billing regulations and accurately reflects services provided
- Act as a liaison between the hospital ministry and the PSJH System Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster Department, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflow and monitor compliance with PSJH System standards across ministries
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
- 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of CDM Maintenance software and billing requirements
- 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices
- 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD10 coding principles
