Charge Description Master Specialist
Job Summary
To support the PSJH System Revenue Integrity Chargemaster team, the full-time remote Charge Description Master Specialist will ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, manage CDM maintenance requests, and provide training to hospital staff on charge capture processes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the daily workflow of CDM maintenance between the PSJH System and hospital ministries
- Act as a liaison for Chargemaster inquiries and ensure accurate representation of services provided
- Document policies and procedures related to CDM maintenance and charge processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
- 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billing requirements
- 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices
- 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD10 coding principles
