Charge Off Recovery Collector

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Charge Off Recovery Collector will manage accounts that have reached a charged-off status, focusing on collecting debts through various methods such as payment plans, third-party partnerships, or legal action while ensuring exceptional service to members and partners.

Key responsibilities:

• Contact members via telephone, mail, and electronic communications to collect on written-off loans and accounts
• Maintain detailed records of communications regarding member accounts, including status updates and third-party actions
• Prepare reports on collection activities and coordinate with third-party collection agencies and attorneys

Required qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in collections, legal collections, repossession, or post charge-off recovery
• Ability to negotiate payment plans independently and handle complex situations
• Knowledge of CFPB, FDCPA, and other debt collection regulations
• Understanding of charge-off processes, repossession, and debt consolidation
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
