Chief Financial and Operating Officer

Job Summary

Leading finance, people operations, and IT/systems, the full-time Chief Financial and Operating Officer will work remotely to advance strategic and operational priorities, manage vendor relationships, oversee budgeting and compliance, and support organizational culture and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal leader, ensuring effective communication and alignment across departments and executive priorities
• Own financial strategy and oversight for the organization and its subsidiary, ensuring compliance and alignment with mission and goals
• Lead day-to-day operations, enhancing organizational processes and supporting the development of the Operations Team

Required qualifications

• Executive leadership experience at the C-suite or senior management level, including budget oversight and capacity building
• Advanced proficiency in nonprofit financial systems and Excel, including multi-year modeling and scenario planning
• Experience partnering with a nonprofit Board of Directors and managing banking and treasury relationships
• Commitment to dismantling unjust systems and experience addressing bias in the workplace
• MBA, Master's in Nonprofit Management, JD, CPA, or equivalent experience (preferred, not required)
