Chief Information Security Officer

Job Summary

Leading the enterprise security strategy and risk management initiatives, the full-time remote Chief Information Security Officer will oversee security governance, healthcare compliance, and incident response while collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed security into products and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise security strategy and risk posture, aligning security priorities with business objectives
• Set technical security direction across application security, cloud infrastructure, and secure software development
• Lead the security incident response program, ensuring effective detection, investigation, and remediation processes

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in information security or cybersecurity with significant leadership experience
• Experience operating at the CISO or equivalent senior leadership level, responsible for enterprise security strategy
• Proven track record of building and scaling security programs and teams
• Deep technical understanding of cloud security, application security, and incident response
• Experience leading HIPAA and SOC 2 program success, including control implementation and audit readiness
