Chief Medical Officer

Job Summary

Providing strategic direction and clinical expertise, the full-time Chief Medical Officer will oversee clinical operations, manage medical cost initiatives, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversees all clinical aspects of the health plan, including medical and pharmacy management and utilization review
• Fosters relationships with physicians and partners on performance management and alignment of incentives
• Directs medical management activities and quality programs to ensure compliance with accrediting bodies

Required qualifications

• MD or D.O. degree with Board Certification and current unrestricted medical license
• 15+ years of relevant experience in healthcare, including 7+ years in leadership roles
• Demonstrated experience in clinical practice and substantial Medicare Advantage experience
• Deep understanding of population health, managed care, and healthcare financing
• Proven track record in administrative clinical leadership and quality improvement strategies
