Chief Operating & Financial Officer

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic Chief Operating & Financial Officer (COFO) to lead the financial and operational engine of a remote, full-time role focused on driving profitability, managing revenue cycles, and ensuring compliance within a rapidly growing behavioral healthcare company.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to establish sustainable profitability
• Drive revenue cycle management by overseeing billing, collections, and payer economics to enhance cash flow and reimbursement
• Lead business operations and establish KPIs to ensure cohesive functioning across all organizational systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive finance and operations leadership experience, with at least 5 years in healthcare
• Hands-on experience with Medicaid reimbursement and revenue cycle management; behavioral health experience is a plus
• Proven ability to build cultures of accountability and achieve measurable targets
• Experience presenting directly to boards and investors, with a strong understanding of financial modeling and strategic operations
