Job Summary
Providing strategic and operational leadership, the full-time remote Chief Operating Officer will manage organizational integration, financial stewardship, and people and culture initiatives while serving as a key partner to the CEO and a member of the Strategic Management Team.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, translating organizational priorities into actionable plans and overseeing their implementation
- Lead cross-unit integration, ensuring clarity in responsibilities and enhancing operational efficiency across various functions
- Oversee financial planning and performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and sustainability
Required qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a senior executive role within a complex international nonprofit or mission-driven organization
- Strong financial literacy with experience in budget management and strategic decision-making
- Experience in leading multiple functions such as finance, operations, and organizational strategy
- Commitment to feminist principles and understanding of global social justice issues
- Professional fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French is a plus
