Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary

To support a growing nonprofit organization, the full-time Chief Operating Officer will manage operational decisions, standardize tools and systems, and oversee the development of leadership while working remotely from anywhere in the world.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the CEO in making strategic decisions on structure, hiring, budget, and priorities
• Standardize organizational tools and systems to enhance visibility of progress and resource allocation
• Line manage directors, resolving team conflicts and coaching them through performance issues

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in building efficient organizational systems and tracking resource allocation
• Demonstrated ability to implement technology, AI, or automation to improve team workflows
• Experience managing cross-team delivery and resolving conflicts independently
• Ability to interpret budgets and compliance requirements across multiple countries
• Commitment to the mission of animal advocacy and adaptability based on data insights
