Chief Risk Officer

Job Summary

Leading risk, actuarial, and reinsurance strategy, the full-time Chief Risk Officer will manage enterprise risk functions, oversee counterparty credit exposure, and report directly to the Board while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and manage Stonehaven's risk appetite statement and escalation processes
• Build and oversee the enterprise risk management framework and conduct stress testing for various risk scenarios
• Set reinsurance strategy and independently approve reinsurers and collateral providers

Required qualifications

• 15+ years in P&C actuarial, reinsurance, or enterprise risk, including senior leadership experience
• Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society
• Direct experience in structuring and negotiating reinsurance treaties
• Proven track record in counterparty credit and collateral risk management
• Experience owning an ERM framework and board-level risk reporting
