Job Summary
To advance childcare policy research and advocacy, the full-time Childcare Policy Analyst will develop and implement a comprehensive policy agenda, conduct in-depth research, and produce communications and publications, while working in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the childcare policy agenda and research portfolio, focusing on governance and market-shaping strategies
- Produce research papers, policy briefs, and communications that promote VPA's childcare policy initiatives
- Manage programming and partnerships related to VPA priorities, including organizing conferences and meetings with stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- An advanced degree (master's) in public policy, law, social work, education policy, or a related field is preferred
- Five years of relevant experience in childcare, early childhood education, or related social policy areas
- Familiarity with federal and state childcare subsidy systems and early childhood workforce policy is preferred
- Demonstrated maturity, creativity, and initiative in a professional setting
- Ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects effectively
