CIC Certified DRG Quality Analyst
Job Summary
Overseeing the accuracy of inpatient DRG coding, the full-time remote CIC Certified DRG Quality Analyst will conduct quality reviews of clinical DRG audits, mentor auditors, and recommend process improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Apply clinical judgment to ensure accuracy in DRG audits
- Review and ensure consistency in clinical DRG auditing performed by auditors
- Mentor Clinical DRG auditors and recommend process changes for quality enhancement
Required qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience with clinical validation audits
- Active Coding Certification: CIC, CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology and human physiology
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and mentoring skills
