Job Summary
Designing site layouts, grading, drainage, and access roads for utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects, the full-time Civil Design Engineer II/III will create civil land development sheet sets in AutoCAD and Civil 3D while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Key responsibilities
- Create site layouts and civil land development sheet sets in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for solar projects
- Design site grading and drainage, ensuring compliance with project and jurisdictional requirements
- Lead small civil projects or portions of larger ones, managing scope, schedule, and budget
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of civil engineering design and drafting experience for Engineer II; 5+ years for Engineer III
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Experience in preparing civil land development sheet sets, including grading and drainage design
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, and codes for site development
